Professor of AKFA University Hulkar Mamayusupova became a co-author of the article “A novel Artificial Intelligence-based tool to assess anticholinergic burden: a survey”.

The article is a short report of the survey regarding the usage and functions of the AI-based tool, which is being developed to assign the anticholinergic burden score to drugs routinely used in medical practice.

Anticholinergic drugs are known to impact the cognitive function of the brain and contribute to dementia-related symptoms, thus it is important to consider the side effects of drugs when prescribing to older populations and to those who are at risk of having/developing cognitive impairment.

The article was published in Age and Ageing with the Impact Factor of 12.
