Region Director of Coca-Cola for Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Armenia and President of American Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan Shadab Khan paid a visit to AKFA University to meet with the students.

The meeting was organized within the project AKFA Business School Guest Speaker Series, initiated by the AKFA Business School.

Shadab Khan started his visit to AKFA University with the talks with rector Bekhzod Djalilov and Dean of AKFA Business School Dr. Odiljon Abdurazzakov.

During the talks, the guest was informed about the activities and plans of AKFA University. In particular, Dr. Odiljon Abdurazzakov proposed to establish cooperation between AKFA University and Coca-Cola in organizing internships of students, participation of Coca-Cola experts in the business case competition, which will be held for the first time at AKFA University in spring 2022.

Shadab Khan underlined that Coca-Cola is ready to cooperate with AKFA University in the above-mentioned projects.

After the talks, AKFA University management organized a tour around the new campus for Shadab Khan, during which the guest had a chance to familiarize himself with conditions created for students and faculty members.

Region Director of Coca-Cola held a meeting with the students of AKFA University. During the meeting, he shared information about Coca-Cola and its activities in the region, efforts directed to save environment, as well as plans of companies for the market of Uzbekistan.

Shadab Khan noted that Coca-Cola became a private company in September after the Government of Uzbekistan sold its share in the company. The company currently has three production facilities in Uzbekistan – in Tashkent, Namangan and Urgench.

During the meeting, Shadab Khan answered to questions of the students, who were interested in various aspects of operations of Coca-Cola, internship in the company and efforts of the company in the protection of the environment, development of startups, perspectives of Uzbekistan’s development, etc.

Mr Khan at the end of the meeting selected the authors of the best questions. Five selected students held a separate meeting with the guest, during which they had a chance to receive answers to their questions. At the meeting, Shadab Khan recommended young people invest in education. He noted that quality education can set up communities and people for success.
