About Department of Economics
Department of Economics is a four-year program. Economics is a way of understanding the behaviour of people, firms, and governments. Economics explores how function and develop our societies and communities.
It studies the ways in which businesses are structured and compete, as well as the ways in which people adopt decisions.
This program has two semesters every academic year and there are total 8 semesters. Education at the university is conducted in English. The graduates will receive a diploma.

Graduates of Department of Economics can work in various positions, including Economist, Financial risk analyst, Data analyst, Financial planner, Economic researcher, Investment analyst, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility requirements for domestic applicants (citizens of Uzbekistan)
- Lyceum, college or high school graduates in Uzbekistan or abroad;
- Lyceum, college or high school students in Uzbekistan or abroad who are studying in their final year;
- Applicants who passed the English Proficiency Requirements
- Successful completion of the Entrance exam

English Proficiency Requirements for Domestic and International Applicants
IELTS 5 / TOEFL iBT 50 / Duolingo English Test 80 or above
Both IELTS and TOEFL iBT certificates are valid for those issued after 5 August 2019.
FEES AND FUNDING
The tuition fee for Department of Economics for domestic students is set at 27 million soums per academic year (13.5 million soums per semester) and for international students – 4,000 US dollars per academic year (2,000 US dollars per semester).
